Description	:	Raymond W. Anderson, 78, of Norton died on Sunday January 8, 2006 at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA. He was the beloved husband of Wanda M. (Davis) Anderson to whom he married on July 1, 1949. Born in Boston, MA on May 6, 1927, he was a dear son of the late Albert and Henrietta (Rudd) Anderson. He was educated in Norton schools. Raymond had worked for the Norton Post Office... Read More	Raymond W. Anderson, 78, of Norton died on Sunday January 8, 2006 at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA. He was the beloved husband of Wanda M. (Davis) Anderson to whom he married on July 1, 1949. Born in Boston, MA on May 6, 1927, he was a dear son of the late Albert and Henrietta (Rudd) Anderson. He was educated in Norton schools. During his senior year of high school, he entered the United States Navy, serving at the end of WWII. He then returned home and received his high school diploma. Raymond had worked for the Norton Post Office for 24 years working his way to the position of Post Master. He retired in 1987. He was also a self-employed carpenter. An active member of the Trinitarian Congregational Church in Norton. He served on the property committee at the church as well as helping to maintain the church. A horologist, he was instrumental in rebuilding the church clock. His passion was restoring antique cars. He was a member and past president of the South Shore Antique Auto Club. He was a member of the Old Colony Model T Club and the Antique Automobile Club of America. A former volunteer firefighter for the town of Norton, he held the rank of Captain. He was a member of N.A.P.U.S. He was a member of the Lt. Herald A. Healy Post 222 Norton American Legion. He truly enjoyed time spent with his family. He was a lifelong resident of Norton. Besides his beloved wife, Wanda, he is survived by his devoted children, Rory W. Anderson of Taunton, Dale C. O’Neal and her husband Dennis of Norton, Neal R. Anderson and his wife Susan of Attleboro, and Eric L. Anderson of Norton. Loving Grandfather of Katlyn O’Neal and Meagan O’Neal, both of Norton. Brother of the late Robert W. Anderson and Alberta Therrian. Also survived by his sister-in-law Lois Anderson of Norton as well as his many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held at the Trinitarian Congregational Church, East Main and Pine Streets, Norton.
