Description	:	Mrs. Reah Foreman passed away Tuesday evening, September 21 at the Antelope Memorial Hospital at Neligh, at the age of 91 years, eight months and two days, where she had been hospitalized four days. Rev. Olin Belt officiated at the rites held Friday, September 24, 10:30 a.m. at the Congregational-Baptist Church (UCC) at Creighton. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeffrey Foreman, Reginald Green, Terry Brookhouser, Bradford Foreman, Bruce Foreman, Cameron Loerch, Mark Brookhouser and Richard Foreman. Reah Bowker Foreman was born January 19, 1891 to George and Lola Kelly Bowker at the home of her grandparent, Seth Kelly of Tekemah. Her mother died eight days after the birth of Reah and her twin sister, Leah and they were cared for by her grandfather and members of his family. Later the twins were raised by an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Akins, who cared for them as their own. Reah graduated from Tekamah High School in 1910, after which she attended the University of Nebraska, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. In 1978 she was recognized as being the oldest member attending the Lincoln Chapter's 75th anniversary. She taught school at rural Venus before her marriage to Lloyd I. Foreman at Creighton, February 25, 1914. They farmed in the Venus community until they moved to Creighton in 1924 due to Floyd's poor health. To this union five children were born, who were raised by Mrs. Foreman after her husband's death in 1926. Mrs. Foreman was active in community organizations in her earlier years. She was a member of the Congregational-Baptist Church (UCC) and it's Women's Fellowship; was a Past Matron of Creighton Eastern Star Chapter #100 and a Past Noble Grand of Industrial Rebecca Lodge #78. In 1967 Mrs. Foreman suffered a stroke, but had a good recovery and enjoyed life, her family and friends. She had enjoyed her home at Bruce Park Terrace since 1966. Survivors include her five children, Mrs. Clyde (Lola) Green, Floyd I. Foreman, both of Creighton; Mrs. Paul (Marie) Dittoe, Lincoln, Ellis Foreman and Bethol Foreman, both of Columbus, a niece, Mrs. William (Charleen) Young of Lincoln; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, several cousins and a host of friends. Preceding her in death was her husband, Floyd in 1926; her twin sister, Leah (Mrs. Charles Cameron) in 1966 and twin great granddaughters, LeAnna Marie and Jessica Lee Green in 1980.
