Description	:	Clarinda Journal (Clarinda, Iowa), Friday, December 15, 1899 Funeral of R. B. Geer. After an illness of about five weeks, R. [eason] B. [erge] Geer passed away Friday morning, Dec. 8, 1899, at the home of his son, Edward Geer, living about five miles northwest of Clarinda. The deceased was born in Hancock county, Va., in the year 1826; was married to Miss Mary Jane Vaughn in 1851. The deceased was born in Hancock county, Va., in the year 1826; was married to Miss Mary Jane Vaughn in 1851. The remains of Mr. and Mrs. Geer lie side by side in Summit cemetery—two years ago Mrs. Geer having been laid to rest. About three years ago these aged parents came from Illinois to spend their last few days with their sons in Page county. Mrs. Geer died at the home of her son, B. G. Geer living about five miles northwest of Yorktown. Two daughters from Illinois were present during the last few days of their father's illness. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. J. V.
