Description	:	Reason Moberly, a native of Maryland, served in the Revolutionary War and afterward received a land grant in what is now Liberty Township, Highland County, OH. He was one of the earliest settlers there, and he assisted in laying out the town of Hillboro as the county seat in 1806 or 1807. He served as one of the first township trustees. Reason Moberly lived the remainder of his life at his farm in Liberty Township, and when he died he was apparently buried there. Read More	Reason Moberly, a native of Maryland, served in the Revolutionary War and afterward received a land grant in what is now Liberty Township, Highland County, OH. He was one of the earliest settlers there, and he assisted in laying out the town of Hillboro as the county seat in 1806 or 1807. He served as one of the first township trustees. Reason Moberly lived the remainder of his life at his farm in Liberty Township, and when he died he was apparently buried there. His gravestone was found on the farm property when a home was built there in about 1850. His wife was Eleanor Delila Fenner, daughter of Stephen Fenner and Eleanor Dorsey.
