In 1873 she moved to southern New Brunswick, probably to Lancaster (Saint John West) where she began writing stories and her novel Lady Rosamond's secret: a romance of Fredericton was published. On Jan 22 1885 she married John G. Thompson, a Fredericton carriage maker. She died in 1891 within three weeks of her mother.
