Description	:	Rebecca “Becky” Hoover Strutton, 88, went home to be with the Lord on November 8, 2018 with her beloved husband and family by her side. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, November 12, 2018 at El Bethel Presbyterian Church with Pastor Steve Monroe officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm before the service at the church. Becky was born on October 25, 1930 in Leaksville, NC, daughter of the late Harold and Edna Hoover. Becky was a kind and caring, gentle but strong woman of deep faith with her life centering on God, family, friends and her community. She was the “go to” person at El Bethel Presbyterian Church who recognized, befriended and found a solution to help all in need. Her church was her guiding light where she was a joyful life-long choir member and had served as an elder and in various other positions. Becky attended High Point College. She greatly enjoyed her work with children as a Teacher’s Aide at Happy Happenings Clarks Summit, PA. After moving beck to Eden, she provided loving childcare in her home, building strong bonds with these children for life. In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Wink and special nephew Joe. Becky was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who encouraged living humbly with the highest of values and seeing the best in others. She is survived by her husband Clifford “Jack” Strutton. Her love for Jack started when they met on a school bus 71 years ago and grew stronger every day. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on October 6, 2018. Becky is also survived by her two children, Dr. David Strutton and wife T.J. of Denton, Texas and daughter Delle Moyer and husband Mike of Harrisonburg, VA. She was a loving grandmother to four grandchildren, Ari Strutton Covacevich (Josh) of Mississippi, Michael Moyer (Elaine), Jaime Searfoss (Scott) and Robert Moyer (Kelsey), all of PA and their families including five great grandsons, Trey, Garrett, Jack, Carter and Ben. All will miss her beautiful smile and the way she listened and loved with her open heart. Memorial contributions may be directed to El Bethel Presbyterian Church, 2515 Price Road, Eden, NC 27288.
