Description	:	Rebecca Jane Jenkins was born February 23, 1828, in Butler Co., Ohio, and departed this life December 15, 1911, death occurring at her home in Phillips, being eighty-three years, nine months and twenty-two days old. She was united in marriage with William Bibb(sic) August 12, 1947, and with her husband moved to Iowa in the spring in 1850. In 1880 the home was changed to this section on Nebraska. Read More	Rebecca Jane Jenkins was born February 23, 1828, in Butler Co., Ohio, and departed this life December 15, 1911, death occurring at her home in Phillips, being eighty-three years, nine months and twenty-two days old. She was united in marriage with William Bibb(sic) August 12, 1947, and with her husband moved to Iowa in the spring in 1850. In 1880 the home was changed to this section on Nebraska. On April 24, 1906, deceased's companion was called to the beyond. "Grandma" was the mother of seven children; four dying in infancy. Edward passed away at his home in Aurora May 30, 1908; E. J. of Spokane, and Jane of Phillips, are the two children who with ten grandchildren mourn her loss. "Grandma", as she was called by everyone who knew her, was a Christian character. She united with the German Reform church while residing in Iowa; and remained a member until called away. She was a devoted companion and mother and although her health was poor for the last thirty years of her life, she bore her suffering with little impatience. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. George Wash at the Methodist church Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. After the church service the body was taken to St. Joe cemetery and laid beside her companion. All join in extending sympathy to the bereaved.
