Description	:	Rebecca Thomas Jamison, wife of George M. Jamison, died at Lamoni, Ia., June 10, 1910, at five o'clock in the morning. She was born in Belmont County, Ohio, April 1, 1838, and was 63 years, 2 months, and 9 days of age at the time of her death. When 2 years of age the family removed from Ohio, to Warren County, Ia., settling near the village of Hartford. It was near there that she was baptized by Elder Isaac N. White, now of Independence, Mo., into the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints, January 16, 1876. She remained... Read More	Rebecca Thomas Jamison, wife of George M. Jamison, died at Lamoni, Ia., June 10, 1910, at five o'clock in the morning. She was born in Belmont County, Ohio, April 1, 1838, and was 63 years, 2 months, and 9 days of age at the time of her death. When 2 years of age the family removed from Ohio, to Warren County, Ia., settling near the village of Hartford. It was near there that she was baptized by Elder Isaac N. White, now of Independence, Mo., into the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints, January 16, 1876. She remained faithful to her religious convictions to the end. She was married to Mr. George M. Jamison in Warren County, Ia., May 28, 1882. Two children were born to them, Marshall Thomas and Ursula Pearly, who, with her husband, survive and mourn her. Mr. Jamison and family relocated at Lamoni, Iowa, November 1902. The funeral was held at the Saints' Church, Lamoni, June 11, 1910, at 2:30 p. m. Elder Joseph Lambert offered prayer and the sermon was by Elder Columbus Scott. Elder Robert M. Elvin was in charge of the exercises and concluded them with prayer at the grave in Rose Hill cemetery after the rendering of a hymn by the choir. Here she rests awaiting the realization of the hope of the just at the first resurrection. She was the second born of a family of twelve children, and her parents, two brothers and one sister, preceded her to the other side. Five sisters and two brothers survive her, Mrs. Mary E. Bassett, of Sandyville, Mrs. Martha E. Wicker, Des Moines; Mrs. Eveline Free!, Pleasantville; Mrs. Fanny Chandler, of Des Moines; Mrs. Harriett Chandler, of near Lamoni, all of Iowa, were at her bedside when the end came. The two brothers, William Walter and Alvin A. Thomas, both of Runnells, Iowa, were in attendance at the funeral.
