Death came for her on September 15 at the Cozad Community Hospital at the age of 81 years. "Her parents homesteaded southwest of Cozad in 1876 and it was in this community that Mrs Stear grew to womanhood and later established a home after her marriage to Jacob L Stear on May 4, 1899.
