She was born in Carroll County, Ohio, September 10, 1828. She was married to Joseph Dixon in 1849, and came to this county with the husband at an early date. To them were born five children, three of whom, J.S. Dixon of Ogden and I.N. Dixon of Ogden and Mrs. T.J. Wilcox of Ames, survive her, also two sisters, Mrs. Belinda Elliott and Mrs. David Curell of South Bend, Washington. She was a devoted member of the United Brethren church at Battin Chapel, east of Ogden. The remains were brought to Ogden Thursday and the funeral services held from the Congregational Church, conducted by the Rev. Porter, burial in Glenwood cemetery. Her two sons, son in law and three grandsons served as pall bearers and tenderly bore the remains to their last resting place.
