Read More	Rees Earl Barrett Des Moines Rees Earl Barrett, 69, was called home to the Lord on April19, 2011. R. Earl was born on March 3, 1942, to Merlin and Lucille Barrett (Rees). He graduated with honors from Audubon High School in 1960 and continued his education at Drake University in Des Moines, IA, where he completed his Bachelor's Degree in 1964. He also completed his Law Degree in 1967 at Drake where he was the vice president of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity and the junior class representative for the Student Bar Association. R. Earl married Sharon Lyons of Bedford, IA in the summer of 1962. Their son Rees Earl Barrett II was born in 1975. Preceding him in death were his parents; grandparents; wife, Sharon and brother, Jerry Dean. Survivors include his son, Rees (Talli) Barrett of Des Moines, IA; grandson, Jack Bryant Barrett; siblings, Marlene (Ron) Jensen of Rocherster MN, Cleo of Audubon, IA and Joann (Craig) Albertsen of Van Horne, IA; nieces and nephews, Joel and Ryan Jensen, Jade Rinderknecht and Amanda Albertsen, Tucker, Morgan and Taylor Barrett. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Northside Senior Center, Park Fair Mall, 2nd and Euclid Ave. Des Moines, IA 50313.
