Description	:	WINSLOW - Regina E. Breton, 89, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, June 21, 2006, at her residence. She was born in St. Gedeon, Canada, on Oct. 21, 1916, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Fortier) Talbot. She was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Mount Merici Academy in 1936. She married Just Breton on June 27, 1938. She was employed as a sales clerk at Sterns Department Store in Waterville and also co-owned and operated with her husband the Monument Street Market, Breton Catering Service and Pleasant Ridge Mobile Home Park. She was born in St. Gedeon, Canada, on Oct. 21, 1916, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Fortier) Talbot. She was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Mount Merici Academy in 1936. She married Just Breton on June 27, 1938. She was employed as a sales clerk at Sterns Department Store in Waterville and also co-owned and operated with her husband the Monument Street Market, Breton Catering Service and Pleasant Ridge Mobile Home Park. She was also assistant manager at the Winslow Credit Union for 15 years until retiring. She volunteered at MaineGeneral Medical Center, RSVP, Muskie Center, Home for Little Wanderers and Winslow Place. She was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Funeral Mass Choir at St. John the Baptist Church in Winslow, St. John School Alumni, Daughters of Isabella, Secular Franciscan Order, American Mother's Association and was State Mother representing the State of Maine in 1992 and was the organizer of the first Christmas Fair at St. John School and worked at it until 1974. Regina enjoyed traveling, sewing and crafts of every kind. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband in 1972; son Roger in 1960; two brothers, Antoine and Francis Talbot; six sisters, Sr. Agatha des Anges, Lea Talbot, Alice and Yvonne LaCroix, Sr. Bernadette OSU, and Theresa Levesque; and her grandson Scott Breton. She is survived by her daughter, Georgette Desmond and husband, Richard, of Winslow; her son, Leonel Breton and wife, Diane, of Winslow; two granddaughters, Karyn Gagne and husband, Arthur, of Hartland and Lori Loftus and husband, Trevor, of Winslow; five grandsons, Richard R. of Florida, Michael Desmond and wife Kathleen of New Hampshire, Mark of Portland, and Peter Breton and wife, Jenny, of Massachusetts; nine great-grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon, and Michael Gagne, Nicole Breton, Grace Breton, Rachel Desmond, Matthew Desmond, Riley Loftus and Talon Loftus. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Antoinette and Gerard Reny; and several nieces and nephews. (Morning Sentinel 6/24/2006)
