Description	:	Regina Evelyn Christians Schilling, age 88, of Sioux Falls, SD, died Saturday March 31, 2012 at Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home in Viborg, SD. The family will greet friends from 5:-7:30 pm Thursday, April 5th at Miller Funeral Home, 13th & Main Avenue. A graveside service will be 1:30 pm Friday at the Little Rock Cemetery, Little Rock, Iowa. Read More	Regina Evelyn Christians Schilling, age 88, of Sioux Falls, SD, died Saturday March 31, 2012 at Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home in Viborg, SD. A graveside service will be 1:30 pm Friday at the Little Rock Cemetery, Little Rock, Iowa. Regina was born on December 26, 1923, the only daughter to Lucy Woltjer and Henry Christians of Little Rock, IA. Regina was raised in Little Rock until she graduated from high school. Her favorite activity in school was playing basketball. She also had a lifetime passion for music and singing. After high school, she attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, IA for one and a half years. After her schooling, she taught country school from 1942 – 1943, prior to her marriage. In 1946 Regina was married to Herman Schroer. That marriage did not last but it did produce her only son Max. On October 14, 1950, Regina was married to William Schilling. During their marriage, they resided in Little Rock, Sibley, IA, Wichita, KS, and Golden, CO. Then in 1958, they settled in Sioux Falls, where they lived for many years. In 2004 Regina became a resident at Green Leaf Assisted Living in Sioux Falls, living there until 2008. She then moved to Pioneer Memorial Home where she stayed until her death. Regina, also known as "Babe" by some of her friends, died from natural causes. Grateful for having shared her life are her only son, Max (Donna) Schroer, of Denver, CO, granddaughter, Anna Marie Schroer, Denver, step-grandchildren, Patrick Sullivan, Sioux Falls, Cary Ann Towns, Corpus Christi, TX, nine great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson. She will be dearly missed.
