He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Katherine; wife, Mary McIntosh; and siblings, Rita Hass, Edward McNamara, Robert McNamara, Kathleen Mangold, Joseph McNamara, and Josephine Stallman. Regis was born August 7, 1932, in Prarieburg, the son of Clarence and Katherine (Henry) McNamara. He was one of ten brothers and sisters. Regis was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War, where he received a Purple Heart. He was an iron worker with Local 89 and was a member of the Am Vets. Regis loved fishing and was an enthusiastic Irishman. He enjoyed dying his beard green for the St. Patrick's Day parade and playing Santa Claus for Christmas.
