HARMS BYRON, NEB. - The funeral for Reinhold W. Harms, 75, Byron, Neb., will be 2 p.m. Monday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Byron, Neb., Pastor B.F. Mirtz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Harms died Thursday at the Republic County Hospital, Belleville. He was born Aug. 3, 1905, In Byron, Neb. Mr. Harms had been a life-time resident of the Byron area. He was a retired farmer and a member of the church. Surviving are: his wife, Marie, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Johnson, Jamestown; Mrs. Delores Haney, Pheonix (sic), Ariz.; Mrs. Arnita Garman, Lacey, Wash.; three brothers, Richard and Aron, both of Hebron, Neb.; Ferdinand, Fairbury, Neb.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the church. Friends may call at the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Home, Belleville. ================= The Belleville Telescope (Belleville, KS), Thursday, January 8, 1981; pg. 26 Reinhold Harms Reinhold William Ernest Harms, son of Albert and Emma Sasse Harms was born August 3, 1905 at Byron, and died January 1, 1981, at the Republic County Hospital in Belleville at the age of 75 years, 4 months, and 28 days. He was baptized August 13, 1905 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Byron, and was also confirmed there. He attended public school east of Byron. On February 10,1029 (sic), he was united in marriage to Marie Fangmeyer at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, west of Deshler by Rev. Spring. To this union three daughters were born. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church most of his married life. He lived in the Byron area his entire life. He was engaged in farming until he retired and moved into town in 1963. He and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary August 6, 1978. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Julius. Survivors are: his wife, Marie; daughters: Mrs. Leon (Lucille) Johnson of Jamestown, Mrs. Leon (Deloris) Haney of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Darrell (Anita) Garman of Lacey, Wash.; three brothers, Richard and Arno of Hebron, Ferdinand of Fairbury; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one aunt, Agnes Sasse of Smith Center. Funeral services were held January 5 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Byron, conducted by the Pastor B.F. Mirtz. Interment was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery at Byron.
