Description	:	Rena (Orena) Lee Howard Byrd Mullins, 95, the widow of Harlis Mullins, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 26, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Mullins was born a daughter of Louie Christopher Howard and Ellen Agnes Howard on May 29, 1926, in Andrews. She had a "green thumb" and loved to grow flowers, work in her garden and can vegetables. Her favorite pastime was watching westerns, Matlock, and Criminal Minds. Read More	Rena (Orena) Lee Howard Byrd Mullins, 95, the widow of Harlis Mullins, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 26, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Mullins was born a daughter of Louie Christopher Howard and Ellen Agnes Howard on May 29, 1926, in Andrews. She had a "green thumb" and loved to grow flowers, work in her garden and can vegetables. Her favorite pastime was watching westerns, Matlock, and Criminal Minds. She loved her family and her greatest enjoyment was spending time with them. She is survived by a daughter, Patty Lynch of Andrews; two sons, Jimmy Byrd of Andrews and Gene Mullins of Georgia; her son and caretaker for seven years, Jack Burleson of Andrews; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers, LC Howard (Kitty) of Georgetown, Earmon Howard of Scranton, Elbert Howard of Jamestown, and Roger Howard (Christine) of Georgetown; and a sister, Linda H. Feathers (David) of Gray, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Harlis; three sons, Dennis Byrd, Terry Byrd, and Henry Mullins; a daughter, Sheila Burleson; two brothers, Cecil Howard and DC Howard; three sisters, Barbara Howard, Eloise H. Taylor, and Virginia H. Ackerman; and two sisters-in-law, Judy Howard and Sherrill Howard. A Home Going Celebration will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home, 610 South Rosemary Ave., Andrews. Interment will follow in the Piney Forest Cemetery. The Mullins family will receive family and friends prior to the service beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Andrews Chapel. McKenzie Funeral Home is honored to serve the Mullins family.
