Description	:	Renetta L. Bolte, 90, of Waverly, Iowa passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly, Iowa. Renetta Leone Bolte was born on October 28, 1920, the daughter of Walter and Lydia (Lau) Buls near Frederika, Iowa. She was baptized on November 14, 1920 and confirmed on March 25, 1934 both at St. John's United Church of Christ – Siegel. Read More	Renetta L. Bolte, 90, of Waverly, Iowa passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly, Iowa. Renetta Leone Bolte was born on October 28, 1920, the daughter of Walter and Lydia (Lau) Buls near Frederika, Iowa. She was baptized on November 14, 1920 and confirmed on March 25, 1934 both at St. John's United Church of Christ – Siegel. She attended Douglas Township #7 country school thru the 8th grade and then helped her family on the farm. On May 20, 1940, she was united in marriage to Clarence Bolte at St. John's United Church of Christ – Siegel. They made their home in Waterloo and in 1942, they moved to the Bolte family farm in Douglas Township where they farmed for the next 25 years. They sold the farm and moved to Tripoli, where they owned and operated the Tasty Cream for the next five years. They sold that business and moved to Waverly, where Renetta began working as a cook in the kitchen at the Lutheran Mutual Life Company (now known as CUNA Mutual). Renetta retired from CUNA in 1985. She loved to quilt and do fancy work, including knitting and crocheting. Renetta was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Waverly. During their retirement years, the couple enjoyed traveling and had even made a trip to Germany to visit a grandson when he was stationed there in the service. Survivors are her husband, Clarence Bolte of Waverly, Iowa; daughter, Rosemary (Clarence) Huck of Waverly, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, Kymn (Sherri) Huck, Dawn (Keith) Lewis, Gail Huck and Cheryl (Adam) Gardner; 6 great grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren and by a sister, Loretta (Herbert) Warnke of Sumner, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Harlan Buls. Funeral services will held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 10:30 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waverly with Pastor Matthew Versemann officiating. Burial will follow in Harlington Cemetery in Waverly, Iowa. Friends may call from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday and hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
