She was born August 1, 1875 to John and Ada Myers, and was married in Nebraska iCty (sic), September 30, 1903, to Henry W Carson, Burlington railroad employe. (sic) Two children were born to them, one in 1907, a little girl who passed away after living only six weeks. The other child, Ralph, was born in Atchison, Kas., July 27, 1912 and is now a chemist in the Proctor & Gamble soap factories in St Louis Mo. Also surviving are one son, James N. Nesbitt, of Burlington, Ia., and one daughter, Mrs L. Mason of Sheldon, Ia, who were born to Mrs Carlson by a former marriage. Her husband, Henry Carson; a brother, Al Myers, of Kansas City; a niece, Mrs A. B. Saum of Kearney, Nebr.; and a nephew, Billy Eyre, Jr. of Peoria, Ill., are living. Mrs Carlson in her girlhood went to the old school taught by the late Mattie Lambreth, graduated from the old Sixth street school and from Nebraska City high school. She took many courses in music and art and was an accomplished artist in oil painting. It was often said of her that she could play any musical instrument, string or reed, which was given her. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Nebraska City and belonged to the Order of Eastern Star. A Christian Science service was read at her funeral Wednesday, June 24, at 2 p.m. in the Porter funeral home. Burial was made in the Wyuka cemetery. Person from out-of-town who attended the funeral were Mr and Mrs James J. Nesbitt and family of Burlington, Ia.; Mr and Mrs Ralph Carson of St Louis, Mo., Mr and Mrs A. B. Saum, Kearney, Nebr.; Mr and Mrs A. R. Myers and Mr and Mrs Jack Sigourney of Kansas City, Mr and Mrs Grover Carson of Humboldt, Nebr.; Mrs Jennie Graham of Edgar Nebr.; Mrs L.
