Description	:	Mrs. Lindsay, 83, Passes Away Friday Funeral services for Mrs. John Lindsay, 83, who passed away Friday, Sept. 2 were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church with the Rev. H.F. Beebe, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were J.A. McCarter, N.W. Berglund, A.W. Rish, True Carder, Tom Dvorak and Neal Kimble. Retta Belle Rosinbum, daughter of James and Eleanor Rosinbum, was born Jan. 13, 1872 at David City. When she was 12 years of age she came with her parents in a covered wagon to Creighton. Retta Belle Rosinbum, daughter of James and Eleanor Rosinbum, was born Jan. 13, 1872 at David City. When she was 12 years of age she came with her parents in a covered wagon to Creighton. She was baptized and joined the Methodist Church in Creighton Sept. 8, 1889 and was true to this faith the remaining 66 years of her life. On Aug. 11, 1897 she was united in marriage to John Lindsay. To this union eight children were born, six of whom survive. For many years Mrs. Lindsay was superintendent of the cradle roll at the church. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. During the two weeks preceding her death all of her living children visited in the Lindsay home. Surviving are her husband, John Lindsay of Creighton; Mrs. Roy (Etta) Vrooman of Eagle Butte, S.D., Wm. H. of Sunland, Calif., Mrs. Homer (Lillian) Smith of Des Moines, Ia., Louis A. of Omaha, Earl G. of Centerville, Ia. and Mrs. Horace (Margaret) White of Alburnett, Ia.; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
