She was a long time resident of Archuleta County and Pagosa Springs and very well known throughout the San Juan Basin. Read More	The Pagosa Springs Sun January 9, 1964) Mrs. Pearl (McComas) Webb passed away in Mesa, Arizona, on January 7. She was a long time resident of Archuleta County and Pagosa Springs and very well known throughout the San Juan Basin. Mrs. Webb was spending the winter in Arizona, but had been here most of the summer. Memorial services for her were held in Mesa, Arizona, at 7 p.m. last night and funeral services for Mrs. Webb will conducted from the Methodist Church here on Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Wood officiating. Services in Mesa were conducted by the Rev. Hughs, who was a former Pagosa minister. Mrs. Rachel Tishner played the organ at this memorial service. The Rebekah Lodge will conduct services at the funeral here. Mrs. Webb was very active in the Rebekah Lodge and had been a member for many years. She took a prominent part in the activities of that organization. She also took a very active part in politics and served as vice-chairman of the local Democratic organization for several years. She was born in Metz, Mo., April 27, 1876, and came to Colorado at an early age,. Pagosa Springs had been her home since early days and she was a pioneer of this section. She was preceded in death by a son, Claude and a daughter, Cleda Marshall. She is survived by a son, Elmo Lowell, of Ganado, Arizona, several grand children and other relatives. Her passing will be mourned by many who know her as a friend, and active member of the Rebekah Lodge and a worker in the Democratic party. She was well acquainted with many prominent Democrats, including former governors, state senators and representatives. Retta Pearl and William McComas owned the Rexall Drug store in Pagosa Springs. After his death Retta Pearl married a Mr Webb. Retta Pearl McComas b. 27 Apr 1876 Metz, MO was the daughter of William Burk McComas b. 23 Jan 1859 and his wife Margaret Ann 'Maggie' Simpson from Platte Co MO. She was the Granddaughter of Stephen McComas and Virginia Byrd from Platte Co MO. Retta Pearl McComas married (1) an Unknown Lowell and had 3 children, Claude, Cleda and Elmo Lowell (2) married William C McComas, son of Stephen McComas's brother James Edward McComas, on 25 Sept 1913 (he had just divorced Cora Inez Purdin McComas) and then married 3rd an Unknown WEBB after William C. McComas died.
