Miss Lucille Oliver, of Canton, acted as bridesmaid and Orville Reichelt, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. The bride was dressed in a frock of buff georgette with trimmings of Swiss cluny lace. She carried an arm bouquet of sweetheart roses. The bridesmaid's frock was of tan flat crepe and her hat and other accessories matched. A four course wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents to 25 relatives and friends. Orchid and yellow were the colors employed in the floral decorations of the home. Born in Germany came to America and first settled near Fond Da Lac, Wisconsin where he lived until 1878 when he moved to Dakota. Rueben E. Reichelt died at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center on Sunday, March 10, attaining the age of 93 years, one month and 18 days. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Nicholas Church in Tea today (Thursday) at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Thomas J. Ryan the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Sioux Falls, with the pallbearers being James Lammers, Robert Lammers, Michael Lammers, Greg Lammers, Richard Lammers, and Mary Bills. Rueben Ervin Reichelt was born on the farm his grandfather homesteaded northwest of Tea, South Dakota on January 22, 1898, the son of Albert and Mary (Scherf) Reichelt. He attended rural school and grew to manhood there. On May 24, 1928 he was united in marriage to Mary Moore at St. Magdalen's Catholic Church in Lennox. They farmed their entire married life on a farm north of Tea. His wife preceded him in death on October 10, 1969. He continued to live on the farm until he became a resident of the Lennox Good Samaritan Center in November of 1987. Reuben was a charter member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Tea, having attended mass in a different location before the church was built. He had also served on the school board and the township board for several years. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Orville Reichelt. Among survivors are: Ervin Reichelt of Tea; two daughters: Mrs. Mel Lammers of Tea, and Mrs. James (Bonita) Collins of Flandreau; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Velmar Reichelt of Sioux Falls.
