Mr. Boeschling was born near the Afton Community south of Hanover on Oct. 20, 1921, the son of Fredrick H. and Maria E. "Mary" (Genschorck) Boeschling. He attended Pleasant Valley County School north of Waterville. On Dec. 1, 1946 he married Louise A. Allerheiligen at Zion Lutheran Church, Hanover. He was a member of... Read More	MARYSVILLE-- Reuben L. Boeschling, 90, died Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Community Memorial Healthcare, Marysville. Mr. Boeschling was born near the Afton Community south of Hanover on Oct. 20, 1921, the son of Fredrick H. and Maria E. "Mary" (Genschorck) Boeschling. He attended Pleasant Valley County School north of Waterville. On Dec. 1, 1946 he married Louise A. Allerheiligen at Zion Lutheran Church, Hanover. He was a farmer and stockman who lived and worked in the Afton Community his entire. He was baptized on Nov. 27, 1921 and confirmed on May 31, 1936 at Afton Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a member of Afton Trinity Lutheran Church and served the church as president of the church council for 25 years. He was also a member of the National Farmer's Organization. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Regina Lohse, Wilhelmina Jorgenson and Lela Eden. Survivors include his wife, Louise Boeschling; four sons, Dennis L. Boeschling and wife Wilma of Salina, Larry L. Boeschling and wife Patty of Forest Lakes, Ariz., Gailyn A. Boeschling and wife Sandy of Clay Center and Rick E. Boeschling and wife Lisa of Waterville; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Afton Trinity Lutheran Church north of Waterville with burial at the church cemetery. Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Terry-Christie Funeral Home, Waterville. The family will receive guests between 6:30 and 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
