Description	:	Reuben Jeschke, 93, Roscoe, SD,died Thursday, December 14 2006 at the Bowdle Nursing Home. Reuben Martin Jeschke, son of Caroline (Hettich) and Herman Jeschke, was born April 13, 1913 at his parent's farm 4 miles SE of Roscoe in Bryant TWSHP. He was educated in Bryant and Montpelier TWSHP Country Schools. He also attended one year of Business College in Dallas, TX. Reuben Martin Jeschke, son of Caroline (Hettich) and Herman Jeschke, was born April 13, 1913 at his parent's farm 4 miles SE of Roscoe in Bryant TWSHP. He was educated in Bryant and Montpelier TWSHP Country Schools. He also attended one year of Business College in Dallas, TX. Upon returning to South Dakota, he worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps near Custer. He married Golda B. Semmler at Ipswich, SD on April 8, 1937. They farmed around Roscoe, eventually purchasing a farm east of town. A heart condition caused Reuben to retire and move into Roscoe in January 1989. For the last two years, Reuben had resided at the Westwood Assisted Living in Roscoe. Not much for hobbies, Reuben's main interest was his farm. Reuben is survived by his wife Golda B. Jeschke of Roscoe; 1 son DeWayne L. (Shirley) Jeschke of Roscoe; 2 daughters—Yvonne (Harvey) Rau and Arlyce (Lew) Gimbel of Eureka, SD; 1 brother Melvin (Bernice) Jeschke of Aberdeen, SD; 1 sister Edna Teletzke of Long Beach, CA; 8 Grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. His funeral service will be Saturday, December 16, 2006 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Roscoe, with Rev. Winfried Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow at Morningside Cemetery, Roscoe. Casketbearers will be Bradley Rau, Todd Rau, and Scott Rau of Java, SD, Justin Jeschke of Roscoe, Kurtis Kayser of Huron, SD, and Dean Schmit of Oakes, ND. Miller Funeral Home, Bowdle, is in charge of arrangements.
