Description	:	Reuben Scheid was born on September 6, 1937, to Arthur and Hilda (Link) Scheid north of Hazen in a sod house built by his grandparents. Reuben farmed on this farm his whole life until he retired. Reuben married the love of his life, Berniece (Boeckel) Winkler on June 17, 1977. He moved in to Beulah at that time. Read More	Reuben Scheid was born on September 6, 1937, to Arthur and Hilda (Link) Scheid north of Hazen in a sod house built by his grandparents. Reuben farmed on this farm his whole life until he retired. Reuben married the love of his life, Berniece (Boeckel) Winkler on June 17, 1977. He moved in to Beulah at that time. She was a widow, so when Reuben married her he acquired a family, 12 year old Bruce and 14 year old Randy. Bruce was quoted as saying "that Reuben was the best second Dad I could have ever had." Reuben and the boys enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and camping together. Reuben was a man with many talents and abilities. He was an excellent provider for his family by working many jobs before his marriage and during his marriage to Berniece. Some of those included working construction which included work on the Garrison Dam, working in the beet fields at Montana, at the Glenharold Mine at Stanton and working as a truck driver for Mercer County. He was a quiet, gentle man who shared stories about his life. Berniece and Reuben enjoyed a large variety of activities which included playing cards, going to church activities, spending time with grandchildren, gardening, picking wild berries and making jelly, traveling, and camping. They enjoyed hosting and Rueben continued to do this even after Berniece passed away. Later in life, Reuben enjoyed polishing rocks. Reuben enjoyed visits with his family which included his sons and their wives, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be terribly missed by many.
