Reuben was born of German ancestry on March 23, 1932, in Mercer County, Hazen N.D., to Friedrich Fred and Charlotta (Link) Entzel the 12th of 13 children. In 1937, they moved to Fairview, Mont., and in 1941 to Buffalo Rapids, near Glendive. After his father passed away they moved into Glendive. Rube served in the Army in 1948 and 1949, and three years with Montana National Guards Leadership School in Fort Benning, Ga. He drove truck for the NP Railroad and was an officer for the Police Department in Glendive. For 38 years he worked in the construction industry. Rube built houses for nine years in Glendive, Missoula, and Puyallup, Wash. He was self- employed for many years. In 1968 Rube went to work for Sletten Construction building the interstate bridges in Glendive on I-94 plus other bridges, sewage plants, water plants, dams and schools. He worked 21 years for Sletten and became the superintendent of many jobs. He loved them all and worked in nine different states. He taught his sons and stepsons carpentry and construction. They all worked at one time for their Dad. After he retired in Reno, Nev., Rube and Ann moved to Townsend, Mont. After Ann's death, with the help of Sandy and Roger Seward he moved back to Glendive in the fall of 2000 to be closer to family. Sandy and Roger became caregivers and guardians to Rube for 12 years. Rube had many hobbies including agate hunting, hunting, fishing, gardening and flowers. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church most of his life. In June of 1950, he married Delores Ellen Hill. To this union five children were born: Sandra Kay, Fredrick Manley (Mike), Pamela Jean, Norman Duane and Timothy Reuben. That marriage ended in divorce. In June of 1963 he married Ann Marie Stuart Zinke and helped raise her five children: Susan, Ed, Wade, Jon and Todd. Rube was preceded in death by his parents; two wives; his first great-grandson, Dustin Lane Weinreis; son Fredrick Manley (Mike); stepsons David, Jon and Todd Zinke; eight sisters, Carolina Schaible Standley, Hilda Herman, Hertha Beyl Karst, Emma Grosgebauer Smith, Erma Neiffer Peterson, Frieda Blum, Elsa (Elsie) Ewalt, Irene Dobson; and three brothers, Herbert, Eugene and Norman Entzel. Rube is survived by his sister Elda Hagen Glaser of Sidney, Mont.; children Sandra (Roger) Seward, Beach, N.D., Pamela (Tom) Frost, Red Bluff, Calif., Norman, Jacksonville, Fla., and Timothy of Reno, Nev.; grandchildren Terisa Seward (Greg Gladin), Katrina (Shawn) Weinreis, Fredrick Manley Jr. (Cindy), Christopher (Michelle), Jenny (Chris) Richards, Denelle (Don) Doesher, Shane DiLulo, Maria (David) Renlund, Natashia Entzel (Andrew Lopaz, Timothy Reuben Jr.; great-grandchildren Danielle Weinreis, Dillon Willson), Hunter Weinreis, Brittney Entzel, James, A.J. Entzel, Ty, Coltan, Bo Richards, Tre, Kiersten, Michaela Doesher; stepchildren Susan Gergen, Ed and Dawn Zinke of Miles City, and Wade and Juliet Zinke of Tucson, Ariz.; as well as 20 step-grandchildren and 30 step-great-grandchildren.
