Description	:	DALLASTOWN Pastor Allen Jack Beck, 83 years, died on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Jean Kathleen (Evans) Beck. His first wife, Evelyne Rebecca (Isom) Beck, preceded him in death in 1968. Born on August 14, 1923, in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Leroy Russell and Bertha Mae (Hammann) Beck. His first wife, Evelyne Rebecca (Isom) Beck, preceded him in death in 1968. Born on August 14, 1923, in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Leroy Russell and Bertha Mae (Hammann) Beck. He graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1941 and was a Corporal in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. He was the pastor of North Harford Baptist Church in Jarrettsville, Md., until retirement in 1989, and pastored Bedford Road Baptist Church in Cumberland, Md., until 1970. He served on the board for the Baltimore Rescue Mission, made trips to Haiti to to build churches and orphanages, taught at the Baltimore School of the Bible, and was a past Brotherhood Secretary-Treasurer for the Baptist Convention of Maryland. He was a member, elder, and Sunday school teacher at North Hills Bible Church until his illness. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Suzanne Getz, Elizabeth Mentzer, Christine McAllister, Miriam Dimitriadis, Nathan Beck, Joseph Beck, Ruth Edwards, Sara Schroers, Bryan Beck, Charis Cooney, and Carol Cooney; his sons-in-law and daughters-inlaw; 28 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter, Kathryn DeAra; and his sister, V. Ruth Morrissey. The service will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2007, at North Harford Baptist Church in Jarrettsville, Md. Friends will be received from 2 until 6 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 6 p.m. The interment will be at the Sunset Memorial Park in Cumberland, Md., on Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. John W. Manry will officiate at the funeral service, and the Rev. Ken Korns will officiate at the interment.
