Andrew was one of Milford's earliest settlers. His wife Hannah and seven children moved to the area in 1806 from Baltimore County, MD (he had 9 children total). Quite often referred to as "Father Megrue", Andrew was active in the development of the town of Milford. He served as Justice of Peace and he and his family were close friends with the Gatch family.
