Moses Furman Howell and Mary Dorson Rowe Howell. Rev. Howell was saved when he was six years old and was called to preach when he was 16. He had previously served at Nazareth Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lexington, SC, Hannah's Chapel in Johnsonville, SC, Matthew's Tabernacle in Lake City, SC, Bethel Pentecostal Holiness in Camden, SC, Bible Temple in Coward, SC, First Pentecostal Baptist Church in Florence, SC, New Life Church in Lugoff, SC, and Little Lamb Pentecostal Holiness Church in Conway. Rev. Howell was a member and conference official of the Pentecostal Holiness Conference and was a member of the SCIPHC for 53 years. He was the Chancellor of Christian Life School of Theology in Conway, SC. He was predeceased by brothers, Moses Howell, Rev. T.F. Howell, Elwood Howell and Rev. J. Timothy Howell and his sisters, Ruby Dorman and Eulee Lovell. Rev. Howell had no biological sons or daughters, but had many of the faith that he mentored and poured his heart into. He loved to study and learn about God's word. Rev. Howell had received a Doctorate's Degree in Sacred Studies, a Doctorate's Degree in Theology and a Doctorate's Degree in Divinity. Surviving are: his wife, Martha Singleton Howell of Conway; three brothers, L.D. Howell (Jeanette) of Conway, Bobby Dean Howell (Vera) of Coward, SC, and Rev. S. Paul Howell (Mary) of Sumter, SC; and several nieces and nephews. Due to Covid 19, seating for Rev. Howell's funeral service is limited. Contact the family for funeral details. Facial coverings and social distancing are required. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Monday. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
