"Pete" Pierce, 61, of LaFollette, died suddenly at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. He was a veteran of World War II [Rev. Pierce served in the US Army Air Corps] and a pastor of the Forks Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Irene Pierce; one daughter and three sons; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Forks Grove Baptist Church by the Rev.
