Marion Brown, 90, former resident of Athens county vicinity, died Sunday at his home in Marion, where he had resided since 1923 and was pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church until his retirement in 1938. Marion Brown, 90, former resident of Athens county vicinity, died Sunday at his home in Marion, where he had resided since 1923 and was pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church until his retirement in 1938. He was also a former pastor of the Athens Pilgrim Holiness Church. The Rev. Mr. Brown is survived by three sons, Leslie of Dayton; Guy of Salem, and Floyd of Flint, Mich.; and three daughters, Mrs. Jennie Mace, Columbus; Mrs. Ethel Calentine, Athens, and Mrs. Mary Hall, Pinconning, Mich., besides his second wife, Mrs. Madora Brown. His first wife, Julia Mingus Brown, died in 1922. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, 3 p.m., at the Pilgrim Holiness Church by the Rev. L. R. Roberts and the Rev. N. O. Stuckey, former pastors of the church. Burial will be made in West Union Street Cemetery, with members of the District Council and pastors of this area, as pall bearers. Friends may call after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Jagers funeral home. Dated: Jan. 5, 1954 Note: Death Certificate gives year 1920
