Description	:	The funeral of the late Rev. D. M. Hofer of Chicago, which was held recently at Bridgewater, S. D., was attended by an exceptionally large gathering of relatives and friends who had learned to know him through his manifold activities in church and conference. Present were also 18 ministers from Bridgewater and neighboring communities. He was born in Johannesruh, Melitopol, S. Russia on July 24, 1869 to Michael and Maria Gross Hofer.
