Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Locust Field Baptist Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Bill Wooten and the Rev. Steve Webb officiated. Burial was in Fairview Memorial Gardens. A lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was a son of the late John B. and Julia Crawford Parris.
