Description	:	Rev. Briley, son of Ellen Josephine (Ames) and Williams Franklin Briley, was born April 3, 1925 at Randolph in Fremont County. He died at Creston, Iowa at the Creston Nursing and Rehab Center. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1942. On December 22, 1946 he married Frances Anna Moffitt in Siam. He farmed in Fremont County until his family moved to Page County. He worked for Henry Field Nursery and Cook Paint in Shenandoah. He also served at several churches in southwest Iowa and northern Missouri. He received a certificate honoring him with the distinction of Minister Emeritus from the Prescott United Church. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Creston, and former member of the Masonic Lodge #555 of Prescott and Order of the Eastern Star #554. Survivors include a daughter, Twyla Jagger; 2 sons, William (Janet) and Gary (Monica) Briley; sister, Ada Margaret Cloyd; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife on December 11, 2003; 6 brothers, and 2 sisters.
