Johnson was born in Horry Co. a son of the late John Truluck and Mary Johnson. He was a retired pastor having served at Leo, Six Mile Crossing, Scranton and Red Bluff Church of God. He was an ordained Bishop of the Church of God of Cleveland, T.N. He was a member of the Johnsonville Church of God and was a former volunteer with the Johnsonville Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his wife the home, four children of Conway, S.C., Brittons Neck, S.C., Conway, S.C. and Johnsonville, S.C., three stepdaughters all of Conway, S.C., a brother; of Aynor, S.C., sisters of Columbia, S.C., and Aynor, S.C., four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Rev. Johnson was predeceased by his first wife Lou Emma Johnson, a son Ronnie Johnson, sisters; Cornie Bell Rogers and Judy Dudley. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. February 20, 2015 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
