He was a former minister at the Moncks Corner Pentecostal Holiness Church for 12-1/2 years, Williamsburg Pentecostal Holiness Church for 7 years, and Floyd's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a former manager for Atlantic Coast Life Insurance Company and a former agent for Life of Georgia. Rev. Flowers was preceded in death by a son, Edward Leroy Flowers, Jr. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Cusack Flowers; two daughters, Sheila F. Browder and her husband, Rev. Buck Browder of Murrells Inlet and Donna F. Coker and her husband, Hoyt of Lake City; two sisters, Gertrude F. Wilson and Mattie F. Singleton, both of Andrews; a brother, C.D. Flowers of Andrews; 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
