Description	:	Father John Goergen, 29 years of age, and pastor of the Catholic church in Primrose for the past year, was killed last Thursday afternoon, when he attempted to pass a truck on the highway between Wausa and Hartington and truck loose gravel which caused the car to turn over several times. He was rushed to the Hartington hospital but died that night. Father Goergen was born at Willis, in Dakota county and has been ordained for seven years. Read More	Father John Goergen, 29 years of age, and pastor of the Catholic church in Primrose for the past year, was killed last Thursday afternoon, when he attempted to pass a truck on the highway between Wausa and Hartington and truck loose gravel which caused the car to turn over several times. He was rushed to the Hartington hospital but died that night. Father Goergen was born at Willis, in Dakota county and has been ordained for seven years. He leaves his parents and several brothers and sisters. One brother and sister were away on a fishing trip in northern Minnesota and could not be reached even to notify them of the funeral. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 o'clock and about 50 priests attended, among them, Rev. Father Crowley of Albion, Rev. Father Teves of Petersburg, Rev. Father Mulligan of St. Edward. A large delegation of parishioners from Primrose also attended the funeral. Burial was made at South Creek, about nine miles from Willis. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Jepsen and Miss Crowley drover over with Father Crowley to the funeral Monday morning. No appointment has been made to fill Father Goergen's place at Primrose.
