Arrowwood married 47 years, went to be with his Savior July 11, 2008. Mr. Crompton was born in Anderson, SC, August 6, 1917, a son of the late John and Marcella Walker Crompton. He was the oldest member of Union Church of God and a life long student of the Bible. Mr. Crompton was a Veteran of WWII. Survivors are a daughter: Rebecca Rector of Monarch; a brother: John Crompton of Woodruff; 5 grandchildren; Cindy and husband Robert Head, Ricky, Scott, John David Rector and Stacy Greenway; 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Crompton was predeceased by 3 sons: James and Curtis Greenway, and Kenneth Crompton; 3 brothers: Fred Bridgeman, Henry and Paul Crompton. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 P. M. Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Union Church of God conducted by the Rev. Alton Stone. Burial will be at Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3:00 - 4:00 PM prior to the service. Active pallbearers will be Robert Head, Jody Rector, and UCOG Life Builders. Memorials may be made to Union Church of God Family Life Center Project, 1113 Thompson Blvd. Union, SC. 29379.
