Frank Chandler Pearson, 86, widower of Myrtle Lee Sloan Pearson, went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2009 at Richard Campbell VA Nursing Home. A native of Oconee County, son of the late Sam and Maude Hudson Pearson, he was a minister in the Church of God, where he pastured ten churches then became a Pentecostal Holiness minister, where he taught on prophecy from the book of Revelations. He helped build many churches and saved many souls with his passion and love for God. Rev. Pearson was a retired employee from the U.S. Postal Service and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Surviving are a son, Dennis Pearson of Greer; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandsons. Rev. Pearson was predeceased by a son, Frank Wayne Pearson. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Don G. McKeller and Bishop Ronald Moore. Burial will follow in Gum Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery with military rites. Pallbearers will be Michael Pearson, Trip Pearson, Matthew Kay, DJ Pearson, Billy Morrow and Sammy Tapp. Pastor friends in attendance will be honorary escort. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home of a grandson, Michael Pearson, 115 Pearson Lake Road, Greer, SC 29651.
