Description	:	On April 8, 2022, at the Lexington Medical Center, with tearful and loving farewells, The Reverend George Ashton Feagin finished his Earthly journey, but in a split moment, entered his Eternal Home hearing the words from his Lord and Savior, "Well done, good and faithful servant; enter thou into the joy of thy lord." (Matthew 25:23) Rev. Feagin's earthly journey began on August 18, 1944, in Johnsonville where he was born the son of the late Rev. Ashton Perthea "A.P." Feagin and Murrell Joye Feagin. He was born the 3rd of seven siblings: Brenda Joye, Carole Jeanette, Tommy Randall, Julia "Dena", Eppie "DiAnn", and Kenneth "Dale". It could be said that Ashton was a born leader throughout his life's journey. He was a 1962 Graduate of Lancaster High School where he was Senior Class President and Senior Superlative "Most Likely to Succeed". He studied at Erskine College, the University of South Carolina, and the South Carolina Pentecostal Holiness Conference programs. He was also the owner and operator of a Tastee Freeze Restaurant and co-owner of the Three Fountains Ace Hardware Store. The greatest achievements of this man's journey are the lives changed by his sharing and teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His early ministry journey led him to fulfilling the tasks of Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent, Church Elder and Deacon, Choir Director, and Youth Camp Director. While in Alaska from 1974-1982, before receiving Ministerial Licenses, the International Pentecostal Holiness Church leadership gave him the title of Lay Minister as he labored to sustain and grow the Mt. View PH Church and the Debarr Road PH Church, both in Anchorage, Alaska. After receiving his Ministerial Licensing on June 24, 1990, his journey took a major change in June 1992 after completing his Ministerial Ordination. His pastoral ministry included: Harmon Memorial PHC, Williamsburg PHC, North PHC, and New Hope Worship Center. In consideration of the many blessings bestowed on him, it is appropriate that this man of God, a faithful husband, beloved father and grandfather, cherished brother and uncle, should conclude Earth's journey with his final words, "Thank you, Jesus." Ashton and Glennis were married on September 2, 1966, and celebrated 55 years together. Their home was blessed with children, including Hugh Ashton Feagin, Joy Denise Feagin Horsley (Jesse), Kenneth Randall Feagin, and Dawn Leffue Feagin; five grandchildren, Daniel Feagin, William Feagin, Jeremy Horsley (Katie), Shea Horsley-Mackey (Jon), and James Davis; and three great-grandchildren, Briar, Gerald, and Grayson. He is also survived by his siblings; Brenda Joye F. Newton, Carole Jeanette F. McGee (Ted), Tommy Randall Feagin (LeeAnn), Julia "Dena" Feagin, and the Rev. Kenneth "Dale" Feagin (Cindy); a brother-in-law, Junior Hood; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister, DiAnn Hood, and a brother-in-law, Olin Newton. A Home Going Celebration with Recognition of Distinguished Christian Service will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the North Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4681 Savannah Highway, North, SC, 29112. Interment will follow in the North PHC Cemetery, Slab Landing Rd., North, SC, 29112. Mrs. Glennis and family will receive family and friends from 5-8 PM, Monday, April 11, 2022, in the sanctuary of the North PH Church. Memorials may be made to the Missions Fund C/O North PH Church, 4681 Savannah Highway, North, SC, 29112.
