Description	:	He was called to preach under the ministry of Rev. G. S. Roberts in 1911 and was licensed to preach by the Jacksonville District Conference in 1912. He served as supply pastor from 1913-1919. During this period he was pastor of Jacksonville Mission, New Augustine, Maltland, and Sebastian Charges. He was admitted on trial in the Florida Conference 9 Dec 1920. He was received into Full Connection and ordained Deacon by Bishop Ainsworth in 1922, who also ordained him Elder on 7 Dec 1924.
