Description	:	Rev. Jack Hipsher of Rutledge passed away at home on June 5, 2017, and was eternally united with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a member of Narrow Valley Baptist Church where he pastored from 1995-2011. He served faithfully as a bi-vocational pastor from 1974-2011 in the counties of Grainger and Hawkins, TN. Read More	Rev. Jack Hipsher of Rutledge passed away at home on June 5, 2017, and was eternally united with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jack loved serving as minister and was a friend and mentor to many. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary, who fully supported him in his ministry; his father Ernest Walter (Jack) and mother, Natley B. Hipsher; brothers, Clyde, David, Hack, Ernest, and J.C. Hipsher; and sister, Louise Miller. He is survived by his daughter, Denise (Mike) Masengill, with whom he made his home; grandchildren, Brian (Deanna) and Andrew Masengill; great grandson, Jack Masengill; sisters, Willie Mae Atkins and Helen Brabston; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. The family would like to express their appreciation to Smoky Mountain Home Health and ALPS Adult Day Services. Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Owens and Rev. Shane Pierce officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday in Grainger Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. prior to services Wednesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to ALPS Adult Day Services.
