Description	:	son of John & Elizabeth (Kinzer/Kinser) Gibson; married Olive Mary (Howery) Gibson on 07 Oct 1858 in Floyd, VA; death year incorrectly engraved on headstone as 1893 --It was with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Elder Gibson;--he died on the 15th, of an occlusion of the bowels, resulting in gangrenous inflammation. Bro. Gibson was a selfretired preacher of the Christian church, and came to this vicinity from Montgomery county Virginia about two years ago. Many will regret his death, and all unite in their sympathies with the bereaved family. Shelbina Democrat Shelbina, Missouri 1892 --Rev. John Gibson, minister of the Christian church who about one year ago came to this county from Virginia and rented a farm near the German Evangelical church northwest of town, died recently and was buried in the Masonic cemetery in this city. He was aged about 63 years and was a most excellent man, well known by J. M. Kinsey who also came here from Virginia. He leaves a wife and several children.
