Description	:	The funeral services for Rev. L. Foreman who died last Thursday morning as the result of injuries sustained in a fall the evening before, were held Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C. H. Foe, District Elder of the Free Methodist church, assisted by Rev. George Vogt, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene. The remains were tenderly laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery to await the resurrection of the just. Lucius Foreman was born in Pike County Illinois on July 12th, 1851 and departed this life August 13th, 1936, age 65 years, one month and one day. In 1862 his parents moved to Jones County Iowa, where he grew to manhood. June 25th, 1871, he was united in marriage to Emily E. Munsinger. To this union were born three children, Maudana, now Mrs. L. E. Barnes of British Columbia, Clayton and Amy who died in infancy. He resided in Iowa until 1883 when he moved to Nebraska. In 1894, June 3rd, he was gloriously converted to God and felt the call into the ministry to which he immediately gave heed. He labored in tent work for eight summers and during the winter, labored in revival meetings and saw many souls born into the kingdom of God. He was ordained August 16, 1914 by Bishop Pearce of the Free Methodist church. On October 20th, 1903 his loving and consecrated wife who so faithfully assisted him during all those years was called to the reward of the righteous but he continued in the work of the Lord. January 7th, 1909 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Barbara Gundy. Following this he labored as a pastor and was a faithful minister of the gospel not shunning to declare the whole counsel of God and holding up the Bible standard as taught by the Free Methodist church. He leaves to mourn his loss his faithful and devoted wife, one daughter, Mrs. L. E. Barnes of British Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Chloe Sherard of Marshaltown, Iowa; one cousin, Mrs. Ange Smith of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two step-daughters, one step-son; eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren; a number of nephews and nieces, and other distant relatives beside a host of friends by whom he is highly esteemed.
