She died March 23, 1996. On April 5, 1997, he married Anna Marie Davis in Keokuk. The Rev. Dodson was a minister at the Church of the Nazarene serving in Roseville, Ill., LaHarpe, Ill., Lacona, Washington, Ottumwa, El Paso, Ill., then back to LaHarpe, retiring in 1995. On April 5, 1997, he married Anna Marie Davis in Keokuk. The Rev. Dodson was a minister at the Church of the Nazarene serving in Roseville, Ill., LaHarpe, Ill., Lacona, Washington, Ottumwa, El Paso, Ill., then back to LaHarpe, retiring in 1995. He also drove school buses and worked for funeral homes. He was a member of Keokuk Church of the Nazarene. He was a World War II Army veteran, where he served as a tank gunner in the 32nd Regiment of the 3rd Armored Division of the 1st Army Corps. He enjoyed woodworking, listening to music, loved to sing and enjoyed working crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include two sons, Paul L. Dodson of Glen Burnie, Md., and Darwin Dodson of West Des Moines; two daughters, Dianna Curl of Hamilton, Ill., and Donna Wyckoff of Burlington; one stepdaughter, Faylene Smith of Burlington; one stepson, Steve Davis of Rockford, Ill.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and two sisters, Bertha O'Banion of Danville and Margaret McCarty of St. Francisville, Mo. Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by one son and one brother. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral for the Rev. Dodson will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Keokuk Church of the Nazarene, with the Revs. Grant Foster and Leonard Miller officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Keokuk National Cemetery.
