Nina Haines The Rev. Nina D. Haines, 78, 403 Waverly, died Saturday 10 p.m. at her home. she was a retired minister of the Church of the Nazarene. She was born Feb 6, 1895 at Lacona, to Quincy and Bertha Crossen Best. She attended the Trininty Church of the Nazarene. She was first married to Marion Devoll in 1913. He died in 1955. In January of 1958 she married Rolly Haines. He died in 1958. Surviving are one brother, Alonzo Best, of Ottumwa; six sisters, Mrs. Estalina Cohagen, Mrs. Ruby Moore, Mrs. Lavona Lovell and Mrs. Emma Best, all of Ottumwa. Mrs. Rhea Daughtery of Kansas City, MO. and Mrs. Opal Jacobs of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. The service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Trinity Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. William Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harold Moore, Jackie Fosdyck, Kenneth and Alvin Best, Hessell Sauers and John Watts. The casket will remain at the Johnson Funeral Chapel until 11 a.m. Wednesday when it will be taken to the church and closed at the beginning of the service
