Oliver Roth was born June 28, 1909, on a farm west of Milford, Nebraska to Aaron & Mattie (Hostetler) Roth, the oldest of six children, and passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010, at his home at the age of 100 years 9 months and 28 days. He attended Pilot Knob Country School near Milford, and later accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized in October of 1926 at East Fairview Mennonite Church. Oliver Roth was born June 28, 1909, on a farm west of Milford, Nebraska to Aaron & Mattie (Hostetler) Roth, the oldest of six children, and passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010, at his home at the age of 100 years 9 months and 28 days. He attended Pilot Knob Country School near Milford, and later accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized in October of 1926 at East Fairview Mennonite Church. Oliver was united in marriage to Ollie Rediger and to this union sons, Cloy, Lyle Dean, Lonnie, Jerrel, David and Philip were born. Oliver farmed west of Milford and was ordained into the ministry. He served as minister for East Fairview Mennonite Church for over 30 years where he remained a long and faithful member for over 70 years. Oliver was blessed with a second marriage after Ollie's death in 1960 to Verda Rediger in 1961. Oliver was noted for his vast knowledge of scripture and his loving concern for his family. Oliver is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Cloy and Ora Roth, Grand Island, Lonnie and Janice Roth, Spokane, WA, Jerrel and Judy Roth, David and Susan Roth, all of Milford, Phillip and Connie Roth, Tulsa, OK; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Darold & Marguerite Roth, Milford, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ferman and Ina Rediger, Dorchester, sister-in-law, Ruth Rediger, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Ollie in 1960, Verda in 2003; son, Lyle Dean in 1963, granddaughter, Casey Roth in 1977, a grandson, Deryl Roth in 1983, great grandson, Royce Mach, sisters, Agnes Rediger, Nora Schlegel, brothers, Harley and Nick Roth and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
