| Description | : | Paul P. Hershberger was born in Holmes Co., Ohio in 1840. He moved to the Kalona, Iowa area where he was ordained to the ministry in 1862. On Dec 2, 1860 he married Magdalen Kuhns. In 1876 Paul and his wife moved to near Milford, Nebr. where he assisted in organizing the new Amish Mennonite Fairview congregation, serving as the only resident pastor, 1876 - Jan. 1878. The Hershbergers were also one of the first Mennonite families to homestead land in the O'Neill community in 1883.
