Description	:	The Rev. Ray Rodeheaver, 91, of Bayard, died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at the Garrett County Memorial Hospital in Oakland, Md. Born May 20, 1912, in Wilsonia, he was the son of the late John F. and Jessie M. Grimes Rodeheaver. He was also preceded in death in 1997 by his wife, Vivian A. "Boots" Reel Rodeheaver, whom he married in 1934. For many years he was a minister with the Church of God. Ray Rodeheaver, 91, of Bayard, died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at the Garrett County Memorial Hospital in Oakland, Md. Born May 20, 1912, in Wilsonia, he was the son of the late John F. and Jessie M. Grimes Rodeheaver. He was also preceded in death in 1997 by his wife, Vivian A. "Boots" Reel Rodeheaver, whom he married in 1934. For many years he was a minister with the Church of God. He was a charter member of the Bayard Church of God, the founding pastor of the Parsons Church of God and pastored numerous churches throughout West Virginia. He retired from active ministry in 1979 and continued to officiate at weddings, funerals and other services. He was a retired member and served as the chaplain for the Bayard Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his goddaughter, Kerri Chenoweth, Greensboro, N.C.; and one brother, Russell "Pete" Rodeheaver, Mount Storm. Friends will be received at the temporary home of the Stewart Funeral Home, 13141 Garrett Highway, Oakland, Md., across from Wal-Mart on U.S. 219 north from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Services will be at the Bayard Church of God on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William McCallister officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Bayard Cemetery.
