Description	:	Brother Roy Gene King, age 71, of Rison went to be with the Lord Friday, June 24, 2016 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Mr. King was born April 29, 1945 in Rison, a son of the late William T. King and Birdie Green King. He was a 1965 graduate of Rison High School and retired employee of the Cleveland County Road Department. Brother King was currently the pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. King was born April 29, 1945 in Rison, a son of the late William T. King and Birdie Green King. He was a 1965 graduate of Rison High School and retired employee of the Cleveland County Road Department. Brother King was currently the pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Debra King and one sister, Paulette Cash. Survivors include his wife, Lillie Woods King of Rison; one son, William King and wife, Monica of Rison; one daughter, Shalane Gossett and husband, Jerry of Woodlawn; one sister, JoAnne Rhodes of Rison; three brothers, Larry King, Carter King, Billy Wayne King, all of Rison; five grandchildren, Kaylee Gossett, Anna Gossett, Jacob Gossett, Megan King and Mackenzie King. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison with Brother Tom Lamb and Brother Robert Long officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery at Rison. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2016 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
