Mr. Baldwin was a native of the Camp Branch community. He was born March 6, 1905, a son of the late Rev. Hilary H. Baldwin and Mrs. Pheonia Grimsley Baldwin. Read More	The Rev. Ubia T. Baldwin, Pentecostal Holiness preacher of near Lake City, died Tuesday night, April 29, 1958, in a Florence hospital after an illness of one week. The Rev. Mr. Baldwin was a native of the Camp Branch community. He was born March 6, 1905, a son of the late Rev. Hilary H. Baldwin and Mrs. Pheonia Grimsley Baldwin. He had been a minister for 27 years during which he served as pastor of churches in North and South Carolina, including Hartsville, Florence, Lancaster, Conway, Willow Creek, Pee Dee, Rockingham, Stones Chapel, Barrineau, Camp Branch, Laurinburg, McColl, Springfield, Matthews Tabernacle, Owens Chapel, and Amanda near Florence. At the time of his death he was pastor of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church near Andrews. He was survived by his widow, Mrs. Annie Lee Hopkins Baldwin; two daughters, Mrs. Bertie Mae McElveen of Scott Air Force Base, Ill., and Mrs. Clara Bell Daniel of Decatur, Ala; two brothers, C. H. Baldwin of Rockingham, N.C., and H. F. Baldwin of Darlington; four sisters, Mrs. Vina Anderson of Darlington, Mrs. Beatrice Burroughs of Birmingham, Ala., Mrs. Lois Singletary of Decatur, Ala., and Mrs. Josephine Thompson of Columbia; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charlie Anderson, Herman Baldwin, Corbett Baldwin, Billy Baldwin, Stanley Baldwin, and Herman Matthews. Ministers of the South Carolina Conference of the Pentecostal Holiness Church served as honorary pallbearers. Funeral services were Friday, May 2, 1958, from the South Carolina Conference of the Pentecostal Holiness Church Camp Tabernacle of Lake City. The Rev. H. P. Robertson, the Rev. J. L. Wall, and the Rev. Frank Scott officiated. Burial, directed by Brockington Funeral Home, followed in Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
